i like this but it suffers from the same issue i have with a lot of your stuff sometimes (and it really shows on a track like this)

basically, (IMO), you need more emotion n shit in your voice.

yeah, second verse is pretty flat now that I think about it. first has some character. i think it's in part because i'm not sure what spin I'd put on it. snarky? could be done that way. serious/hard? that would work too.

I love layered choruses like this one. I definitely dig that direction of hook since I'm a pretty big Chamillionaire fan as well. Looking forward to your new album, SWAG!

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about getting you on that hook for that track I told you about. I'd definitely still dig a Ultraklystron chorus on a future release of mine if it ever comes together though lol

I'm a fan of pretty much anything Karl does. Though, I agree with punching up the second verse. Some hype with a grip of effects on it might be nice. Deep voice drop in and the whatnot. The hook is heat tho

I almost wonder if part of it might just be achieved with the right drops/cuts of the backing. It creates emphasis to wonderful effect sometimes.

Nope, I've got collabs that have* to come in first (Death*Star, Klop, Rai, Garrett from Mega64, and hopefully more) before I release it, and I don't need them into me until Hella's record drops in November (hopefully,) and Rai's record drops in January (probably.)

That said, I may leak stuff like this every once and a while. Keep an eye my twitter/facebook/here. Then repost it everywhere.

*=I won't let any collab hold up the album the way Opensource was held up by me waiting naively to see if something would come together with Tycho from Penny Arcade. Should've know that in spite of his interest at the time, he was already too busy for such things, collaboration with Glenn Case and the Frontalittle Squad aside.

Meanwhile, dropping the beat and distortion on the overdubs and certain parts of the main vocals make a huge difference on the whole track, but especially the second verse.
