It's 2012, and since I believe that the Mayans totally know everything about some muthafuckin' time, this is the last year any of us will exist. So here's what Death*Star has planned. Essentially, this is an update of my first blog post; some of that stuff is still true, and some of it is not.
1. A New Dope is Both Dope and Finished
A New Dope is out, so if you want it, go buy it (or just listen to it). It's been well-received thus far, and is a considerable improvement

To explain two of the more obscure references in the song, "studio wetlands" refers to Bill Beats' home studio, which he calls Wetlands because it's in a basement that floods sometimes. "Beacon"
So. Diss tracks. What the fuck, Nerdcore Now?
I understand that in a lot of ways, nerdcore hip-hop is like trying on daddy's shoes; you know they won't fit well, you aren't entirely certain why he wears such monstrous shoes, but the very act of emulating him helps you with both of those and is itself a developmental step toward becoming a grown-up. Diss tracks are a hip-hop tradition since Roxanne Shante trashed UTFO, so of course we pick them up, try them on for size, and get a little
