So a museum cut open a newly thawed mammoth femur on Nov 13^th and found biologically stable marrow nuclei. They anticipate being able to produce a clone by implanting the nuclei into elephant eggs.

I’ma get to see a mammoth in a zoo in my lifetime and that’s pretty dope.

I also fully intend to eat mammoth once they make enough of‘em to get off the endangered species list.

I read an interview with Ben Folds a few years ago—in fact, it may have been a podcast now that I think about it. Someone asked him about an experience he described in a song and he replied that the song was fictional then went off on a tangent that I found fascinating. He thought it was very interesting that in the US, listeners tend to assume that songs are non-fiction. Especially when the voice of the narrator or the characters are realistic and subtle.
