• Nerdcore Now Volume 1: B-Side

    The B-Sides are a collection of songs that still carry the nerdcore banner but were held off from the main album for a few reasons. We had a strict time restraint to keeping the main album under 80 minutes. Therefore tracks that didn't quite fit the vibe or had minor production issues were held off.

    The B-Side is the perfect showcase to display the upcoming talent that the Nerdcore scene has in store. While other established artists use the B-Sides to display their refined craft that didn't quite match the main album groove.

      Ah, swell. First the JLA arrives, and now the JSA is on the scene. People simply do not stand a chance against the might of the Nerdcore Now alliance.

      whyamihere you really surprised me with your song on this! man if you recorded that on better equipment it would be so sick. Just the way the song progresses and changes, really good. Was is klopfenpop that did the beat behind it? sounds like you took alot of ideas from Kanye's Monster

      Lets try to stick to actual comments guys. Yays and whoos are cool, but they do not contribute to the discussion.

      Seriously, my favorite track on the entire comp, both discs, is kHillmatic's remix of Sidekick. How the fuck is it even possible to out produce c64 on a track?!! c64 is so fucking money, and his work was impeccable on the original, and somehow the song sounds like it was written for kHill's beat.

      mind=blown

      The measure of a good remix is how naturally ikt suites the song, how "like a glove" does it fit and complement the original elements that are used. By that standard, this is perfection.

      Indeed, 'twas me. Check out the full instrumental here. Yeah, Waih did mention Monster when he commissioned the beat, but I think he just said he wanted something the same tempo and that had a similar feel. I just listened to it once to like a minute in so as not to make it too much like that song. Waih was SUPER involved in the epic flow of this track and even some of the instrument choice and breaks and stuff. Without the vision he cast for me that beat would not be what it is.

      I was gonna give this a listen to immediately, but then I started listening to J-Pop.

      Did give a listen to WAIH's tracks, Spandex Moose's track, and Squared's track. Not bad.

      I do have to say I was thoroughly impressed with WAIH's talents, and I enjoyed knowing exactly why he was here. That is one less question to solve before I die.
